There is no doubt that solar energy is the way of the future.  What most people don’t know is solar energy production is an extremely simple process, and they don’t know how efficient are solar panels.  Photovoltaic cells or solar cells collect energy from the sun, but most don’t know how much are solar panels.  Basically a solar cell is a semiconductor that is constructed using photovoltaic materials.  They contain no liquids, chemicals, or moving parts.  What a solar cell does is convert sunlight into electricity.

Solar panels are just a series of individual cells, which are built into some kind of frame that allow the cells to work in unison or as one.  The energy captured by the panels is stored in a battery or series of batteries.  Solar panels generate direct current or DC electricity.  Solar energy systems for home use inverters which converts direct current (DC) electricity into AC or alternating current.  As you know most consumer products such as appliances and electronics operate on AC current. How to make electricity is not the big mystery people make it out to be, it’s actually quite simple and inexpensive.

It has always been thought that unless you have a huge amount of land in which to place a huge array of solar panels, it would be unlikely that you would be able to power your entire home by the sun. Not exactly true anymore, as solar panels have like most things have gotten way more efficient, however if just powering a single room, or several rooms would have great benefit. There is a simple formula in which one multiplies the wattage of each individual electrical device by the number of hours you would expect to use them each day.  It is this number becomes your benchmark, or the bare minimum your system must be able to generate. Look for more information about how much are solar panels here for just how to do that.

The options available to consumers that are considering converting to solar energy are many.  Basic systems used to power a computer and a few other small items can be purchased for approximately $1000.00.  The good news is that now just about anybody can build their own for a fraction of that price. Naturally, the price increases with larger systems. For a point of reference in just how much you can save, in most regions, the price for an installed system costs somewhere in the range of $10.00-$12.00 per watt.  Do a little math with the solar panel calculator and you’ll see why so many are turning to building their own solar panels. This site does offer all the information you need to figure how much are solar panels.

Solar energy is truly the most renewable energy resource for energy and power generation.  24 hours a day, the sun blankets our planet with more than enough energy to meet our energy needs globally for an entire year.  As photovoltaic energy technology advances, consumers will be unable to resist the urge to make the change.

The development of solar energy technology is making huge advances.  Many if not most of the major energy and oil companies have entire divisions committed to developing solar energy. They know it’s coming and unavoidable. Countless hours and money is being spent to develop the technology that will greatly improve conditions in the world tomorrow.  We cannot continue down the path we are on, that’s not a secret.  Energy production using fossil fuels are no longer a feasible option, it’s dirty and inefficient.  The future is solar and the time is now. ” How much are solar panels” you ask, way less than you might expect. Get started today and find out right here.

Knowing How Much Are Solar Panels – Outweigh The Expense

by The Home Energy Expert on June 30, 2011

Build Your Own Solar Panels Cheap

How much are solar panels and does the expense outweigh the cost always really depended on the region. Some states that are good for solar are New Jersey, California, Massachusetts, Hawaii and a bunch of others, and what makes them “good” states for solar is how much sun exposure is available compared to the cost of the solar home power systems.

But!!! if the cost for the solar panel energy system is much much less than what the figures have always been based on, then it changes the entire game plan. Where a state wasn’t considered a “good” state before because of how long it took to recupe the intial investment, is now an excellent place to install a solar energy system because it can be so inexpensive to do! It’s a whole new game for the solar power do it yourself build your own solar panels cheap industry.

Where a “good” state could return an initial investment for a solar panel home energy system in as little, or now as long as 3 -5 years, what if it returned your investment in just a matter of a few months?!! Now we’re talking, this is what it’s about. The best part is, no moving parts, nothing to wear out, just savings every month, or getting a check from the power company for putting power back into the grid.

Here’s the old school way of thinking when it came to considering a solar power system. The following factors have to be considered in order to get a return on investment. Consider how many kilowatts you pay per hour (kWh). Obviously the higher the cost the more money you’re going to save. If I can recuperate my small investment, never pay for electricity again, and even get a check from the power company then I don’t care what I’m paying per kilowatt hour. Just get me started on the savings. How much are solar panels is starting to mean inexpensive and doable especially if you know how to make solar panels for home use.

What kind of solar energy incentives are offered in your area is something to consider sort of. If it costs $35,000 to install a system, then incentives are great, it if costs 1/10th of that 35K, then who cares? It’s nice, but shouldn’t nor has to be the deciding factor anymore.

Some states offer Solar Renewable Energy Credits or SREC”s where you can sell the excess electricity you generate. That’s a nice feature, but just not having to pay another electric bill is good enough for me and should be for anybody.

Regardless of how much sun your area gets, the installation of solar panels reduces the cost of ownership of that home which means it increases the value of the homes with solar energy.

ROI or return of investment is a major factor when considering how much to invest or with what system to invest in when seeking a home energy upgrade. Figures like a 10 year payback or even a 5 year payback was considered a good investment. But that was then, this is now, and now is about DIY for way less and with equal or better quality. If you want it done right, do it yourself, with expert advice of course.

We see many solar power projects that are drastically cutting homeowners’ electricity bills and offering a favorable ROI – evidence that indicates, yes, the value of solar panels far exceeds the costs. To be honest, however, we also see inquiries from states where local solar incentives are weak and/or electricity is relatively cheap. Examples include Kentucky, Alabama and Nevada. It used to be said that in these areas, it was difficult to say whether the value of solar would be greater than the costs. Faced with a 19-year payback or ROI, a homeowner in Nebraska, for example, may be forgiven for his skepticism. But if the ROI or return on investment was in months, then it’s a different ballgame altogether.

Now that solar panels are more affordable, especially when you know how to install solar panels on your home  and more and more states are promoting solar power. We expect the value of solar home power to strengthen for homeowners all across the country.

Just a quick few things to consider here:

You can find the information right here about how does solar panels work. Once you learn how to build your solar panels cheap, and how to install solar panels on your home. When you know these things, then you can make a solar panel comparison.  Does it make more sense to purchase wholesale solar cells knowing how to make solar panels for home use? We show you where to buy solar cells so you can build your own solar panels cheap. Who would have thought solar home power was so easy to do?

Don’t miss out on a great opportunity! You had the good luck to come across this site, now get the information and get off the grid now. After making your home “electric bill free” can you think of anybody else that would like to do the same? Remember what Lee Iaccoca said, something like “I don’t have to know how to make a car, just tell someone to do it” Is there a solar panel business opportunity in your future?
